Hey NW Bombers, (Sam, that means you!)

After having a hell of a time priming my fuel filter after changing it last weekend, I think my lift pump may be going bad. I have an appointment @ Cummins NW this Friday to have the fuel pressure tested. If they do find it to be bad I will order a new one which will take a few days. They want $139 for the pump and $7 for the connector. The pump is the one used on the motorhomes.

The service guy quoted me 5 hours at $80/hr on the install!

I figured screw that, I am sure that my fellow NW Bombers could help me out with the install!

Although my mechanical abilities are quite limited, I looked in my handy service manual and it looks fairly straightforward. I have no idea where they get 5 hours to install from.

Here's the deal... .

IF the pump is bad, I would like help installing it the weekend of the 15th & 16th.

Maybe we could combine it with the Hooters get-together before or after.

The beer and food would be on me for whomever wants to lend their mechanical expertise!

I will keep you all posted!

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I can not only help you, but I can supply you with a lift pump (low miles) for a lot less than $139. The weekend of the 15th & 16th sounds great. Bomb On. Sam
