Working on a local dealer for a 2015 3500 4x4 G56 SRW w/ $10k off MSRP. I should have another $1500 in discounts on top of the that; FFA, treadlightly etc. The dealer has been sitting on this truck for a looooong time and the price has been knocked down to almost $40k flat.

I like the simplicity of the Tradesman. I got over my hate for the simple gauge cluster and the looks of the 5.0 radio and now I'm trying to talk myself into liking the mechanical seats. Every Dodge I had in the past have had electrical adjustable seats. The Tradesman cloth bench fits way better then my old 04.5 but I'm on the fence still.

Any of you Tradesman owners regret not going to the Bighorn or upper built SLT's?

Happy with my Tradesman. I would be even happier if I could have gotten a truck with less stuff on it than comes at that level

I thought not having powers seats would bug me, but in reality once I get the seat where I want it, I very seldom move it, so it has been a non-issue. I do miss the fog lights, though.

I had to buy my SLT in '07 simply because I love power seats. Otherwise,I'd have an ST.
The seats make long trips so much nicer.
That manual transfercase in a Tradesman would be a selling pt.
I don't get the manufacturers forcing all this automatic stuff down our throats.
My neighbor's 1999 F-250 4wd failed on his first desert trip. Dash mounted transfercase. It's not a Dodge thing exclusively.

Double post sorry.

I'm happy with almost everything with my Tradesman. One thing I do miss is the overhead console with map lights.
Apparently, the o/h console only is available on trucks with electronic transfer case(at least that's what I was told). Oh well.

Absolutely love my tradesman. It is very well equipped for my tastes. Even the base stereo sounds better than the upgraded Rockford Fosgate in my previous car. The seats are like lazy boys and since my wife refuses to drive it (she also owns a stick shift), we never need to move the seats. When we're on vacation, she likens it to riding down the road in our living room. That is a reference to the roominess, lazy boy seats, and general.comfort. I have the G56 4x4 Cummins

I got mine for $40k in.Sept 2013. Many are afraid they won't be able to sell the G56. But I was looking for a G56 and couldn't find a SRW in all of florida. I test drove a DRW about 30 miles away from my house. But no SRW G56 in the entire state. I bought my truck from NC.

I like my tradesman, have and had electric seats, didn't care my tradsman doesn't have the electric seats. The 07 has an issue and the 04 was replaced under warranty, and I don't want them again.

My 1/2 ton is a Tradesman package truck. Love everything about it except for the lack of fog lights. I'd buy another one.

The overhead console comes with the 5.0 radio setup. The electronic t-case shifter is an option.

Is the electronic transfer case activated by pushing a button? Or is it a dial? I have the shifter on the floor

Autos are a dime a dozen. I had to special order mine from Dave Smith.
A regcab with G-56 did not exist in the southwest 10-06.

I miss the gauges, but when I need them, I use the info display. I didn't know about the difference until me and my buddy compared trucks his Laramie and my Tradesman.

I do not believe the power folding tow mirrors are available in a Tradesman. I might be able to live with manual seats. But I do want the power folding mirrors, upgraded dash, garage door opener, high mounted rear camera, rear view and park assist, adjustable pedals buckets with the extended console and 8.4 without Nav! So I am into a Bighorn with upgrades.

Look at what Mountain Home, Id has in stock.

So Snoking

I just picked up my some what loaded tradesman. MAN are the seats COMFY!!!!! I even think better the the Laramie I was going to get.

I was first in the market for a Laramie, then downgraded to a Bighorn and now I'm exploring the Tradesman. I'm having a really hard time forking over $60k for a pickup now. I'm glad that I didn't rush out and buy a new truck after I sold my 3rd gen.

Hi,

I have a 2013 Tradesman 4x4 DRW 6 spd ... I absolutely love this truck. This truck also sat to long on the lot when I picked it up late-2013. Manual trans (6spd), black bumper etc. I personally like the black over the chrome. My previous truck ( see signature) was red with black trim. I have always had Dually's my adult life, BB chevy's and Dodges later in life, one might say I got smarter :). This setup is an awesome setup, may not have the power that the asian (sp) has, but its untethered. I haul a Lance camper and drag around my CJ-6, about 18K. And the cooling system is just amazing. In 20K miles hauling around this setup, never had to get out of the throttle to cool down. This thing just goes. The Seats are very comfortable, more than my wife 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The manual seats are ok, less to go wrong. My 1999 Dodge had manual and they still slide back and forth, can't say that for my Yukon that was before my wife's GC. Gauges do take some getting used to, but I just switch the EVIC to show engine temp (both oil and water) along with oil pressure. I have the electronic 4wd shift, so the over head map lights are there.

Things I have upgraded (meaning I wish they came with the truck originally):
1) Dash cubby hole changed over to glovebox II (all the more to loose things)
2) upgraded bumper to fog lights, kept the black color, had to scratch and paint a chrome bumper. Looks stock (changed switch and paid for the computer to be programmed (ARG))
3) added the under hood light (tradesman model doesn't come with this feature) ~$45 for the dome light and cable. The switch is in the fixture it self and Ram left the pig-tail in the harness.

Again I wouldn't hesitate.
