Whats in a name...?

I'm interested in purchasing an ATV Polaris 700 EFI and was wondering if anyone has one? If so, how do you like it? What are the pros and what are the cons? I'm leaning towards the Polaris because of the price. I live in southwestern Virginia, I contacted six Polaris dealers, only one has the EFI in stock, but all are going to sell for sticker price and not a $ less ($7899/7999). I was going through the ATV sites and saw where I can go to Chatanooga, TN (about 3 1/2 hours from me), and purchase it for $6499 out the door (no sales tax for out of state buyers). What do you guys think?

Many thanks!

A guy I ride with has one and that thing RIP'S he put duuel exhaust on it it sounds almost like a harley. It is fast though I have the 400 sportsman and I can't come anywhere close to him.

Go for it.

I just went from a '90 Polaris Trailboss 250 to a '04. 5 Sportsman 500HO and can't believe the difference! I can't imagine an EFI 700. That price from Chatanooga is only a little more than I paid for my 500. I just found that dealer online 3 days ago! Plus I had to pay tax! Even if I paid to ship it from there to here, I would have saved hundreds. Let us know how you like it.

Hello guys!

I've had my 700 EFI for about 2 weeks now. But the weather has been so bad, and I've been so busy, that I have not had a chance to ride it until today. I had it out for about a 1/2 hour today. I think I'm going to like it. Went to Chatanooga TN. Got the bike, front brush guard, 2500lb winch, rear bumper, 2 year warranty, out the door for $7600. Every dealer here in my area, would not budge off of list $7899 + $800 (accessories) + $300 (tax). I think I got a good deal. I'll keep you guys posted.

I sold my 700 and was interested in the new efi thing too. I am a little turned off by efi due to some underperforming arctic cats but maybe they could make it work. The cool part of efi is mileage and no jetting. Id rather have the diesel personally and bomb it.

BigEd,

Hey, you live the closest to me out of any other TDR member that I have seen yet. I live in Duffield. About the fourwheeler, I have never driven one, but I would go with the Griz. Sorry
