Need HID headlamp bulb advice.

2008 Mountaineer Premier. Early version of MySinc, heated and ventilated seats, heated windshield, rear entertainment package (drop down tv, 3 sets wireless headphones). Power moon roof/sunroof combo. 4 zone climate control. It's all worked flawlessly to date. Pretty standard stuff by today's metric but 11 years ago it was top of the line. It was the wife's present for passing the NCLEX :)

AHHHH! Because topic is new vehicles, I thought Merc= Benz. Yes the old Explorer platform was pretty decent in hindsight, especially with the 4.6.
If you had to replace it, what would you get?

Yes, the anti corrosion properties in both VW and Audi are impressive!!

But also take note that high end Domestics such as a true Lincoln and Cadillacs never rust as fast as the lower end counterparts..

Better paint, sealers and steel I suspect..

Every European vehicle is built to that standard today, even the french and italian one.
Buy a Fiat 500 and drive on for the next 20 years.
I wait so desperately that the americans start to build their 80 Grand Pickups like that 10 Grand Fiat.

That’s why I wound up in another Durango. And though I bleed Mopar, I went in with a open mind and a certain budget. Looked at all the 3 seaters.

So did I, 2012 Citadel, and totally happy with it, no problems so far.
I think his wife just had a Lemon.

I tried a 500 rental when they first came to the US. I was quite impressed- especially with the auto trans IIRC. I’d like me an Abarth model to zip around for errands someday. :D

My bad, I'm not the best at staying on topic

And Mercedes! Ha ha, I just had to take a peek in the mirror to make sure I didn't have sucker wrote on my forehead :D

We have been talking about that alot lately and done some window shopping. Theres not alot of SUVs out there that interest her. We really don't need another 3 row at this point. She's had her eye on the 4 door Rubicon/ 6 speed manual shift for a while. As impractical as it would be I think I could get behind that one! She now works from home 4 days a week so doesn't put alot of mileage on a vehicle anymore.

7 - 8 month of road salt, and looooots of it.
Other chemicals are prohibited trough out of Europe.

Chemicals as in calcium chloride, salt brine, etc?
Those are the killers of vehicles here, more so than rock salt. They use the calcium chloride here more as the temps fall and rock salt becomes less effective. This year the local outpost is experimenting with a product called Geomelt . It is derived from sugar beets. I'm hoping it works, it is alot less corrosive than the liquid chlorides they use now.

I just wish they would plow the roads and leave it at that (minus Interstate routes). Who cares if it takes an extra 15 minutes to get somewhere...it wouldn't hurt people to actually learn to drive on bad roads.
