audi R-10 TDI Utah Grand Prix/ LeMans

Just wanted to let y'all know that the Audi R-10 V-12 TDI Took first and second at this weekends American LeMans race in UT.

I was there at the end of the front straight, and when those Audis come down to the first corner, decelerating from almost 200 mph, there is almost no sound, just a quiet whistle. No sound on corner exit when they get back on the throttle either. Awesome!

The TV coverage didn't show just how dominant the audis were in the straights. At one point we counted over 50 seconds lead between the lead audi and the next car in class.



CDyksman, you were at the good part of the track for an evening race. (shaded) It sucked looking into the sun. Someone should have thought of that when they decided to build the clubhouse on the EAST side of the track.

Sounds like an awesome machine, I missed it this year but was at the GT race last year in Denver.



We sell Banner Engineering products in our Denver office and we get paddock passes. I guess Leighton did well until he broke his driveline. :{
