RossA said:i have one and let me tell you its a great turbo over stock, well was at one point :-laf when i first baught the turbo i had just the DRAG comp box and intake. i was never able to get egts over 1200 at anypoint and is spooled just as fast as a stocker. now my problem is i have added WAY more fuel and now the turbo is WAY to small. works good to bout 350 to 400hp then she falls off pretty quick. boost numbers with the DRAG comp alone were 40 to sometimes 46. great little tubro for towing and such if your not lookin for all out hp then its a good choice.

I have been looking at this turbo myself. Mostly because it is bolt on with a turbo mounted exhaust brake.
Check my mods, how do think it will run with my set-up?

RossA said:honestly it might be a bit hot. with my 170hp injectors alone i was never able to get over 1200 egt wise. with just the injectors and my DRAG comp on, i can hit 1500 pretty quick. with my DRAG, Smarty, and TST, well i dont even want to talk about it :{

ATS says the 2000 is happy at 350 to 400 Hp, maxing out at 450 Hp. But, this is almost the same conditions that most of the other hybrid turbo manufacturers will say their turbo is designed to run at.
I have not been on a dyno, but I am guessing I am somewhere in the 300 to 400 Hp range, most likely in the lower 300's. I can run a little hot while towing and I would prefer to achieve the most usable Hp for my truck vice all out maximum Hp.

Now I am confused, the ATS website shows "Perfect for Power Levels of 450 to 500 HP", where are you getting your stats?

Changing to higher fueling levels. I found the Aurora 2000 turbocharger to be quite happy in the 400 horsepower region, producing boost pressures into the mid 30's at 2700 feet above sea level. This turbocharger is well suited for maximum boost pressures in the upper 20's to low 30's as well as sustained operation at 350 to 400 horsepower. Its durability suggests that it could easily accomodate bursts into the mid 30's and 450 horsepower. Presenting abosolutely no surge behavior, this turbocharger appears to be well suited for towing.
