Was looking to upgrade my turbo. Check out my sig. Pull a 9000# boat now up some long grades. Want the least turbo lag, the lowest egts, and the most power/airflow I can get. Got the banks plate in now 265hp/696TQ with 4"mbrp exhaust,3GSK and would like to put in the tst#10 plate if I can get my egts low enough. Any turbos out there that would do a much better job than my 14cm housed HX 35 ?

the HTT HTB2 62/12 combo is a great towing turbo, spools fast, probably faster than the HX35/14 combo, and will provide more than enough air for what you have, even with the 10 plate.

Check out my signature, the 01 I tow 13,000 with. As long as I keep the RPM above 2000 rpm I can run 6th gear all day long. I have the 3. 54 gears. ON the interstate I run 6th. At around 50-65 mph I usually run 5th. Matt did you get your transfer case swap done?

Not yet. Actually I can't seem to figure out whether it's the transmission or the T-case thats the problem. I put it 370's the other day, so I'm putting even more power to them... . still hasn't blown up yet!

I have a #10 in mine with the 35/16 and I have no trouble at all keeping it cool. Heck, Last year I was towing 16-20K lbs at least once a week and it would stay cool as long as you didnt lug it.

I pretty much do like zstroken said, but I stay above 1900. If I drop below 1900 with any more than about 6Klbs, I have to put it in 4th.

I would think the hybrid would be plenty for JUST a #10, but not much more towing. But if you plan to do more to the truck, then go with the 62.

High tech turbo told me the HTB2 would spool fast with 425 HP,Which I dont have. They said the HTBG may work for me. 325 HP to 450 HP Can upgrade to a HTB2 if needed. ATS tells me the Aurora 200 works so well it does not need a wastegate. Has a 3yr 150,000 mi warranty No wastegate to stick open is nice. Hmmmm.....

Thanks for the imfo. I will e mail High tech and see what they think of the HTB2 62/12 combo. I wonder what the drive pressures are like with a 62/12cm. I'm new to this,But doing lots of homework. After I bought that Banks fuelplate anyway. extra 100. 00 for there plates.
