Does any one know of a shop in the Austin Texas area to resurface a flywheel for my clutch install, Also what does a new clutch for a 02 6sp cost? What type of shops resurface them is it a machine shop or a transmission shop or just a big truch shop?

Thanks Jared

I am not from the Austin area but sell flywheel grinders in the Rocky Mountains. If you look in the yellow pages under automotive machine shops, most of them will have a flywheel grinder. Also look under auto parts new, and a lot of times they will advertise flywheel resurfacing. The machines are pretty idiot proof so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone capable of doing a good job. Good luck!

Austin Brake & Clutch Supply Inc.

They list a lamar street address but they are not actually on lamar going south on 183 they are pass lamar on the right. I had them resurface a clutch on a jeep I had several years ago. They say they work on truck, auto, industrail. If they can't do it they could probably tell you who can.

Guys Austin Brake and Clutch wants 60 bucks:--) I think thats high, since another machine shop near my house only wants $20 but they aren't open on Saturday. Where else?

Just take it to Austin Brake & Clutch. They are the best around that I know of. I take mine in there and wait 5 or 10 minutes, and it's back in my hands. They've always been very helpful and courteous. I had a F-150 that would shudder when starting in 1st gear, so for free of charge they disassembled the clutch plate and put in some softer springs to try and help, which it did.

Actually, I was thinking about a used set of 275's to tide me over till the EDM's. I'm working 6/10's, but I imagine I could swing by for a while.
