2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission auto door locks

My auto door locks quit working, (the one when you get going about 16 mph) not that I need that but just wondering why they quit, anyone else with this problem

I intentionally turned mine off. On / Off 3 times without starting then on then get one chime from the door locks and it is disabled. The sequence is suppose to be in the owners manual. I never found it, but there is a thread on it here on TDR.



Did you do a sequence something like that by accident?, might be a reason.



You could probably do the sequence and turn the automatic door lock feature on or back on (if they are still functioning in th first place, which is probably what you are trying to figure out).

Thank you, I must have done that when I was checking for codes, I will try that today thanks again.

I found that the on/off sequence works (3 times for odo codes, 4 times to program). I also found that the program works to change the auto lock feature (driver's door lock button down/back like locking the door) as well as modify the key fob to turn on interior light on first unlock attempt, unlock doors on second attempt (driver's door lock button up/forward like unlocking the door). I've done it several times to make sure I'm not just hallucinating! Anybody have a list of programmable features?

So 3 times on/off and it goes away? Or am I missing a step? Wish mine would go away. Since I always leave the key in the truck I find the pax door locked when I need it open.

For the door lock sequence I think it is:



on /off

on / off

on / off

on / move door lock button on the drivers door to unlock. when you do this you will get 1 ding so you know what's going on.

would someone try the same process except move the door lock button to lock, see if it changes their key fob also (in the alternate setting the first key fob unlock button ONLY turns on the interior lights). I'm starting to feel like my truck lives in the Bizarro world!!!

I did the turn on and turn off 4 times and hit the lock, and now the locks work again however Its doing the same as beast2b, one touch and the dome lights come on and then one more and the doors unlock I guess that will do thanks for the help
