Guy is selling a 205 from a truck with 23sp input. I assume this is from behind an auto trans.



I am thinking of picking it up for a spare as long as it could be converted to work behind a getrag. He doesn't want much for it. .
 
205 t case

from what I understand the 205 from auto is or has different input shaft size then the 5 speed The auto 205 is the same as the one from the 80's hope this helps
 
Quad 4x4(I think) has a conversion kit, you need a new main shaft I think because a 5 sp one is 29 spline. I think there is also some machine work to do. They're in the links section, check it out, very informative site :D
 
I knew the spine count was different. With the smaller input I was worried the input bearing might be smaller. Still for $50 I might snatch it up.

AR, when Philip gets back to his routine after his trip to the Sooner, maybe he will chime in since he's our resident expert on the 205. That or he's out there waxing on his new flatbed:-laf. .
