I looked at the picture Jeremiah sent me and he does have the "white dot". So, at this point, I guess that's what we have to deal with when buying the DiPricols. I still think they look good, though.



The white dot doesn't show at night (it darkens the face of the gage), but I have heard of another TDR member that had the white dot fall of of his gage face. It would have been nice if they just used the same needle design as the boost gage.



I have some pictures of the gage both in the daytime and at night in my readers rig galleries.



I guess we'll keep trying.

Juan, I responded in a private email and said what we've really been talking about is the white DISK and not a dot. That's why I was confused. For everyone else's benefit, the disk hides from view the inner workings of the pyro gauge. I'm sure there's a reason they build 'em this way because it would sure be less expensive to build 'em all the same. I've noticed the difference but it hasn't been bothersome. The needles are the same and that's all that matters. They also move almost instantly, which, for me, obviates the need for a digital gauge.

The Autometer's have great night visibility, and good accuracy. Doc, you'll like them. if you go with the Phantom's, DD's version is 60psi for the boost, if you need to go that route, too.

Do the Autometer night colors match those on the speedo, tach and other instruments equally as well as the Di-Pricols?

No, they are lit around the edges not through the gauge.
