took it to the dealer today, from a rolling stop it acted and felt like the transmission slipping. engine would rev up but truck would barely move... . I've only had this truck 17 days:{ oh well, told the wife I needed a new DTT :D

BUT, seriously, anyone had this happen at 27000miles??

auto slips

no, I wish it was, that would mean I had a box. I haven't got that far YET!!!

From what I've read on this site(A LOT) I'll start with the gauges, then the transmission, and so on... . Oo.

Auto was slipping also............until.................

Truckstom, my 2001. 5 Auto was slipping starting around 18K..... noticed it when I was in a parking lot and if I went too far and passed up a parking space, I would shift into reverse and nothing would happen. No reverse action nor forward---like it was in idle.

The ONLY time that I took it back to the dealer was to TRADE IT IN FOR A 2002 6 SPEED!!Oo.

does this only happen when cold? i've had a similar problem like it. does it catch after a while? in my case... i'm still very unsure what it is.

update

OK, this is what's happening,

there were a few things I/we discovered.

First, don't assume your used truck from a new car dealer is road ready. I assumed that. WRONG. but they made nice and readied it.

Dropped the transmission pan, replaced governor pressure sensor/or selonoid.

Replaced transducer pressure sensor.

I don't know this transmission stuff from Adam... . but it shifts real sweet now... (not DTTsweet, stock sweet) adjusted the bands kickdown and reverse (I'm getting all this from the invoice) new filter and oil... ...

Then they check fuel pressure 15-16 before filter, 7 after, mash it and it dropped outa site. All this needed was a new fuel filter, see not road ready... Maybe it's just me, but I thought/assumed it would be ready to go till the next serviceing(sp)

Oh well, alls well as they say...

btw, I got my TDR member kit yesterdayOo. Oo.

also some TSB"s

While it was there they had some TSB"s they are as follows:

Cold idle engine warming- TSB 18-019-01

Reprogram PCM TSB 25-002-01 forgive me I can;t remember what the heck the 2nd was for, will call and update later.
