I dont know if this is possible but I cant see why not. I am looking for a push button auto start for the wife's '02 auto. Something she can start from the house when the truck is outside. So that it can have time to warm up and all the other issues. So my questions are. Is this possible? If so where to look for something like that.

TIA

like always illflem you are on the ball much thanks. i think i am gonna have to try these out. they should come in very handy. As both the wife and i are in our early 20's obviously we are of the ALWAYS in a hurry generation so this will let us take care of the trucks properly and still be in a hurry... LOL>. . thanks again guys

be careful autostarting a manual

Be careful doing this. I have not researched this on the Rams, but you must have a way to know if the manual transmission is in neutral Years ago you used to be aable to buy autostarts designed for manual trans. It required you to exit the vehicle with the vehicle running and the doors locked. As long as the doors were not opend it would autostart when required, but if it saw a doorswitch change states, the unit would not autostart until you complete the above sequence again. if you have any questions drop me an email, i have done a few installs of these and am trying to talk a friend of mine into installing one on his CTD automatic

The units I linked to have a sensor on shifter the that will only let it start if it's in neutral. Therein lies the problem, breaking the habit of parking in gear...

Thanks for the leads.

I just ordered the Design Tech 20236M, and in talking to the guy you have to a little dance of pushing buttons, take the key out of the ignition (it will still be running), get out of vehicle, lock the door, and then the truck will shut off and be armed to restart. There is the trade off for not being able to start it in gear. Well worth it for me as I let family members drive my girl.

If anyone is interested, I can post how the install goes, although I probably won't install it until the weekend of June 21st.

yeah defenitly let me know how the install goes wrh... pics too if you can. I dont think that any of it should be too hard. but just the same.
