Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Hello, this is my first time posting a thread so I will try to be as straight forward as I can. My friend has a '96 12 valve 5-speed and I have a '01 auto; we are interested in buying a wrecked '02 HO 6-speed. My friend would like the 6-speed in his truck and i would like the 5-speed in mine. This would be the first major project on either of our truck and there are some questions present. So here are some of them and any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
1. Can the 6-speed bolt on to the '96 12 valve and/or is there a conversion kit with all the hardware?
2. Will the 5-speed be compatible with my 2001?
3. Does the computer need to be programed for a manual?
4. Will the drivelines need to be lengthen or shorten?
And if I may have left something out feel free to let me know.
