Has anyone replaced their auto with an Nv4500? Is there anything special needed to adapt the crossmember to fit the Nv4500? Thanks for any input.

no , not that i can see

you need to change the bell houseing adapter , if your useing the advance adapter peices , cut the bearing retainer .

on the the cross member you need to take a peice of 3x3 tube or 4x4 tube , i need to measure to make shure and drill for your mounts

you need the bracket for the t-case handle , advance adapters has these

, i want to dump my gated shifter , i hate it somebody has a answer post it

please !!!!!!!!!!! or a twin stick set up , autos dont use same t-case

need a manual one or change imput shafts and bore the bearing size .

I also recomend poly urthane mounts

check out www.polybushings.com they got good cross member pics on the site , tell Jonny i sent you

If you want to get rid of the gated shifter on the T-case, just get one from an 89 or older. (I don't know when they switched, but my 89 has a strait pattern shifter). Or modify the metal plate on yours that has the gated pattern, to a strait pattern. The T-case linkage is the same on all of them, just the shifters are different.

I know where to get you a pedal assembly. Might be a while, as it is in Poplar Bluff, MO, and it likely wont be pretty.

except the pedal assembly which is the only thing that is holding me up on the swap.

I'll likely have the assembly from an 89 soon. Will be a few weeks before I get a chance to remove it.

Where are you located? Want to come to Ct to remove it?

I wish wrong part of the country for me i am somewere between Phoenix AZ and Albuquerque NM depends whats going on over here

The idea of the swap from an automatic to a manual transmission has got me thinking. In fact I've been thinking about it for a while.

If there's anyone out there that would like to part company with any of the aforementioned parts, or if they could steer me in the right direction, I'm thinking I'd be interested. At least to investigate it a little further.

I'm really tired of the anemic torque converter etc...
