Auto tramsmission guage?

Finally getting some parts for my "bazel" guage install. Is there a good spot to place the sensor for the trans that doesn't require draining the pan etc? Also what is your choice for brand for the 04 555? Thanks, Doc

this guy has his pyro temp probe the same place that big trucks are could someone explain why most guys place it in the manifold sorry if little off subject

I use the white faced Dipricol's in my truck. Also, I purchased a replacement cooler line with a tee for the probe to go into to. If you would like more info shoot me a PM.
