I am looking to change my auto trans fluid with Amsoil how much fluid does it take. I could not find it in the manual. I have a 01 auto 3. 55?

Kevin... . If you get it out of the torque converter too, it will take 17 quarts. I just changed mine, but did not pump out the TC. It too 9 quarts. I got my gasket and filter plus a nut and plug kit from NAPA for around $24 total.

I made a fair mess on my cement driveway, but the plug the welder installed for $10 will solve that the next time. I wiped up the driveway, wet it down with the hose, scrubbed it with dishwasher soap, let it dry for a couple of hours then hosed it off. This bleached it out almost whiter than the surrounding cement. GOOD LUCK!!

I don't have an auto but its been on here before how to get all the fluid out by taking one of the lines off to the cooler and pouring some in to the color changes. I think it takes two people. If you search around on here you should find it or its over on Dave Fritz's site.
