Auto trans leakk on 2004 5. 9 after trans service. Truck brought back to shop and they failed to fix it. Then brought truck to dealer and they didn't fix it. The leak is coming from the top os trans . I think its coming from adjusting allen screw with a lock nut on it. Anyone familiar with this prblem and how to repair?

Thanks in advance Rich B.

Yeah, take it out from the inside and use some thread sealant on it. There is a good chance the band is wore enough or something else is out of spec that is extending the screw out of the threads and not sealing. Worse case is the case is cracked around the threads.

If it is leaking at the nut, just hold the screw stationary and remove the nut and install a new nut. The nut has a sealing material on the face which is supposed to seal the screw and nut. bg

DO NOT remove the screw just the nut. If you remove the screw chances are you will need to drop the valve body to get it to line back up.
