I have an auto trans in my 95 Ram. I had a torque converter lock up switch installed ( just a toggle switch). Within 100 miles the transmission started acting up. First, the converter began locking up when I put it in reverse. I had that problem fixed. I don't know what was done to resolve it. Now within 100 miles of that fix, it won't go into overdrive. Any suggestions?

Other than this the truck is smokin!!!

I'll update my profile soon but I am very happy with all of the other work that has been done.

Thanks,

Jeff

If this all started after the lockup switch was installed, I would try to find out what was actually done. What wire or wires were cut into and where. There are folks that know how to wire things and some that don't.

The three wires that control overdrive and the TC run together from the PCM back to the transmission. They break out of the main wiring harness about in the center of the firewall and run back to the transmission. If it was cut into somewhere in that section between the main harness and the transmission, you should be able to find it and see what was done. lf the job wasn't done well, it could be the cause of any or all of the problems you are experiencing.
