OK I have a '99 QC 3500 and I am parting out this '95 2500. Will the transmission from the '95 work in my truck? It was rebuilt by an independent tran shop about 8K miles ago. I would like to hang on to it for a spare WHEN mine craps out!!! It seemed to work real good, kinda slow to go in OD when it was first started out in the morning.

Thanks for you help!!!

The '95 has a 47RH. Your '99 has a 47RE. Yours is electronically controlled. I believe the 47RH is mechanically controlled. That certain parts could be interchanged such as the valve bodies, I'm not sure. For sure they are not "bolt in and run compatable".

The 95 was a meckanical/gear drive speedo and the 99 is electronic. can be converted if you spend money on it. There are other issues as well.

Also the 95 used an aluminum front planetary I think and they will fail behind the diesel- even stock.

Feel free to correct me if this info is not accurate!!
