I recently installed a Mag-Hytec Double Deep trans pan.
This week I was driving for about 2 hours when I noticed the trans temp was still at 100 degrees. The out sit temp was about 48 degrees and my engine temp was about 170 degrees.
At first I thought my guage or sensor was bad. When I pulled into a rest stop as the truck was idleing down I noticed the temp was up to about 130 degrees. When I let the rest stop the temp started dropping. After about 10 miles it was back down to 100 degrees.
The trip was about 400 miles and the temp only broke 105 if I was in slow traffic (less than 60 mph).
Can anyone shed some light on this?
