Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) gauge questions

I want to put a pressure guage on the auto transmission to monitor its general health. I have the service manual and have read through the testing procedures. The accumulator presures in each written discussion are generally less than 100psi which is the guage I want to use. However, the diagram on OD shows accumulator pressures 95 - 130 psi. The discussion on OD has the overdrive clutch in the 68 - 72, 90-120 range and simply says to remove the C3292 guage.

Because the written discussion specifically does not say what the accumulator pressures are in OD I need some help to verify that the 100psi guage would or would not meet the accumulator pressures in EVERY possible instance of every gear.

Thanks in advance

What do others do that want to monitor the auto transmission fluid pump health?

You will likely end up with a modified transmission ( or a 6 speed LOL) so you should plan for it. Buying the gauge twice would not be good. I would go 150psi minumum and probably 175.

I emailed DTT to see what they recommended on gauge range. As I recall the rebuilt trannys run higher pressures, so they should know.

Also asked them WHERE they recommend the sensors to be.
