I see alot about the differant engine oils out there, but what do you think the best or better automatic transmission fluid is?

Thanks

Chris

My transmission was acting up but showed a definite improvement when I changed from "Castrol and Valvoline plus 3 back to Mopar 7176. I did the machine flush when I got the truck and put in Valvoline... . burned it up in 5000 miles, then did it again w/band adjustments, put in Castrol..... burned it up quick, Did it again w/ Mopar plus 3 7176, noooo problems @ 10,000 miles... still pretty n pink and towin' in the mountains. 91,000 miles on truck

I use Mopar and add 2 bottles of Lubeguard. Lubeguard is the only additive out there that I would dare to put in the trans. 112,000 miles and the transmission is still going strong. One of my old customers first gen. CTD has over 200,000 miles and I only use Mopar and Lubeguard. His truck is a work truck that pulles trailers all the time. The auto's are good transmissions if they are serviced properly and driven correctly.

I'm with Bob, love the amsoil. :)

Hey Bob--- whats the difference between the red and the black. That thread didn't say. Also were you at SIR on Sat, I showed up about an hour before the rain came. :(

Bob

Whats up with this LUBEGARD? In that thread you posted it sounded like Bob K. of DTT doesn't like it very much, to me it just made new questions. Like you said theres a Red and a Black, and warned about its use. I haven't looked in to this product, but I'm not much into adding things into oils.

Thanks Chris
