I"ve been using a lot of ATF lately, so I decided to pull it in the garage and chase down the leak. Well, not so easy. It looks like it's coming from the left side where the cooling line hook up. I removed all of the evidence and brought it up to the full line. I the ran it at high idle in nuetral for twenty minutes. Not a drop:rolleyes: So the I idled it in drive and waited and watched. Nothing. :( Then I put in reverse for a while:mad: I lose about a quart and a half per tank of fuel now. It's all over the side of my truck and the tailgate not to mention the undercarriage. It has refused to leak standing still for the third time now, but it will leak cruising down the road. I have installed BD's X converter, pressure lock and valve body. I have also replaced the troublesome factory lines with dayco push-on hose and fittings. (They do not appear to be bad. The hoses are not cracked and the fitting are tight. ) The side of the transmission is clean and does not appear to be cracked. The pan isn't leaking (it doesn't leak without engine running) I don't know what else to do but ask the fellas and see if anyone has had a similar problem and can point out a solution. Thanks:)

Try putting the truck up on four axle stands so that it is level. Put it in drive and jam the throttls so that it runs about 1500 RPM. Crawl under it and see if you can see where the leak is. If it leaks running down the road it should leak in this situation. You might want to pull the kick down lever forward and see if that affects it. Pressure in the trans is dependant on RPM not load.

Use to work on auto trans for a living. Had a case with a 727 where the wrong valve body was on the unit. It leaked in to the pan, this created enough pressure to push oil out the dipstick tube under driving conditions. It made a mess under the car and was hard to see that the fluid was coming from the tube. I see you have replaced the VB. Know it is a long shot but thought I would pass it on.
