Adding a Mag Hytech deep transmission pan and would like to know the stock capacity of the transmission. Also, how do you get the old fluid out of the torque converter so I can do a complete change of oil and not just a partial?

Its kinda a PITA, but here are instructions from Amsoil.

Also, I did a tq converter, valve body and input shaft replacment on a 2000 and we put in about 16qts with the Mag Hytec DD.

When you buy an upgraded converter, they should come with drain plugs in them. I know my Suncoast ones do.

I had the same question when I had my TQ and VB, and mag hytech deep transmission pan installed a few weeks ago. I was told 18-20 quarts, coobie :)

We have a 2003 and when I added the Mag-Hytec I was told that my total cap would be 15 qts. The MH adds 4 qts to the transmission.

I changed the oil in the transmission last year and added 3 gals to the transmission, but I had not drained the torque converter which I guess would be about 3 qts, so 15 qts (3gals + 3qts) would be about right.
