Someone on ONE of these forums has posted he works in maintance at a R&D center. Says he has seen test mules with 58re and 68re(5&6 speed autos for 2500/3500 diesels) being driven and talked to the gurus working. Says he's seen these trannys apart and on the benches. Hope he was for real. I think he was,sounds plausable.

local uaw paper in the KTP plant, that builds the 48re, said the 58re will be coming to the plant. but you can bet it is several years away from production.
