The A. W. D. intercooler is a direct bolt in, requires no modifications to the truck, has bigger tubes, can be shipped to you or installed at the shop.

The six inch exhaust was my thinking. When we did the HX40 and the new 4 inch downpipe, the BD brake needed to be replaced by the 4 inch underbody unit. so I was making extensive mods to my expensive stainless system-NOT! I sold the stainless system and thought up a way to flare out after the brake to 6 inches and dump it out right before the rear tire. I can do it again if you'd like it for yours

I would definitely consider it Chris. My main concern would be to not mess Mike up. I am mainly concerned with how loud the new exhaust will be. Mike is scheduled to install the BD 4" exhaust and he said it would definitely be louder. Is your 6" system quiter than the BD exhaust? Are you using a muffler? I think I know the answer but is it possible to get the pipe behind the tire like the stock system? I'm starting to get nervous. Is this setup really going to be STREETABLE???????????????? Thanks for any replys in advance

Ok guys I have to chime in hear as well. I stopped in and spoke with Michael last friday afternoon. Really I just stopped by to help decorate GTSjoes truck for x-mas, since he has more lights on his truck than I have on my x-mas tree. HA HA Joe, Anyway our plan of action for right after the first of the year goes something like this: install 16cm2, BD brake,60 lb springs, delivery vavles, exhaust, gov. spring kit,370 diamond B injectors, possible head gasket-ATS mani. -replacement of liftpump, custom dynamic pump timing around 15. 5. and maybe a few more things as time passes before January 8th, Who knows what santa is going to bring.

We will all have to get together after the new year. I have told Joe that I finnaly got the mailing list of all our NJ TDR members. I will be putting together some sort of mailing to get us all organized.

Oh well BOMBS AWAY

Okay, here's the bottom line. The system on my truck has no muffler. Consequently, it is about as loud as four trucks running unmuffled. I couldn't go any further back with the 6 inch system due to the fact that there's just not enough room between the shocks, spare tire and the rear axle. Also, the right rear wheel gets dirtier than the other three much faster due to the diesel soot that builds up on it. So I clean it more often. Don't be nervous, the truck will be amazingly streetable. I once had a 600 hp Mustang that was anything but streetable. I too was wondering if the truck would be streetable when the mods were done (BOMBing for me is never done, however). I never would have believed that the truck is now more streetable than ever due to the enhanced performance, yet without the parasitic effects that a crazy, whacked out gas V8 inherits. From the questions you're asking me, I'd make a judgement for you to go ahead with the 4 inch BD exhaust and do it unmuffled, as with that it is relatively quiet during normal driving, but sounds great when you put your foot in it. Mike has a photo album on the counter with pics of me installing the six inch system and the various performance levels and colors that my engine has been. If you haven't looked at it, take a peek when you drop your truck off on thursday. If you happen to be there anytime before 5pm, I too will be there as I am off from my full time job. I look forward to meeting you if possible and maybe if you'd like, taking you for a spin up the street in my baby.

Hey Chris, I really enjoyed our ride today. Seems like the biggest problem with our setups is getting the power to push the truck. Is it possible to put on a setup like the 3500's have on them. With two rear wheels on each side? I know you guys are salivating over my truck now. A stock turbo diesel that you guys are going to give the wurks!!!! I think in addition to the turbo I better keep the stock intercooler. Please e mail me at bertyz@aol.com or post replys but I would like to e-mail you. Is your address on this site somewhere? Looking foward to hearing from you and looking more foward to driving my truck again. Sincerely, Bert
