Automatic break pedel interlock

Does any one know how to disable the automatic trany interlock with the brake pedel. I have 2003 4 door short box that I bought used and I love this truck bettrer than the 2001. But the auto trany interlock is not going to stay.

If some one else has already figured it out it sure would save me time.

you need to apply the service brakes to get the transmission out of park...

It is the interlocking switch that keeps you from taking the transmition out of park till you put your foot on the brake. I just hate that. My 2001 truck doen't have that. So when I get in the 2003 you have to put your foot on the brake and wate about two seconds and then take it out of park. Most of the time it wont go so you have to push back up to park then back down to drive. That is one of the reasons that I don't buy chevys. I don't want a truck that keeps telling me to put on the seat belt locking the doors turning on the head lights and the like. My brother has one of them and you can't turn them off. Of corse you put your foot on the brake when you take your truck out of park but with the interlock you have to push hard on the pedel and wate. That is dumb when your in and out of your truck around on the farm hooking up trailers and the like. If any one of you are like me then you can disable it in a few seconds. Just below the stearing callom is a pannel that you pull down you don't have to take the two screws out on the bottom if you don't want. You will see a black cable at the bottom of the stearing callom going down towards the floor. At the top end of the cable it is hooked to the shift lever and there is a electrical plug right in to the side of it. Just unplug it and zip tie it up so it don't rattle and your done. At least that is the way it is on my 2003 ETH 4 door short box. Oh and it is black if that makes any diff.
