This one I would never do, as the "driver door unlock on first press" feature is a security feature to keep someone from jumping in the right side of the vehicle that you didn't see. It's so simple to "double-tap" the unlock button anyway, why mess with it?

OK, how about on my 99, as far as the "Unlock both doors on single press of unlock on remote", it's always unlocked both doors w/single press. I'd like to change function so it will unlock driver door on single click and both on double click.

Can this be done?

Try it and find out, you can't do any harm.....

also I believe this info may be found in your owners manual.

Did the main step 1 & 2, then,

2. Press drivers door lock switch to UNLOCK the doors then to LOCK within 30 seconds.

There was no chime. I pressed unlock once and the lights inside the cab went on - no door unlock, pressed the unlock again and then doors (both) unlocked. Tried again to be sure that on single press the light comes on and on the next press the doors unlock.

So I guess that's it for a 99. The instruction in the owners manual only speaks on turning the chirp upon locking off or on.

Any ideas?

I think the single click to open drivers door is desirable, Wifeymobile works this way (01 XC-70).
