automatic trans. noise

91 518 auto sounds like a blow nozzle on a air compressor when you hit a hill towing. Sounds like it is coming from the middle passenger side of trans.

Yeah Double check the charge pipes I bet you have a leak on 1 of them .

The '91 had no IC so I would be looking for a turbo to intake leak starting with the rubber connectors. It sounds just like a problem I ran into with a freinds truck.

91. 5 so it has intercooler. I will check for boost leaks . but it sounds like it is under the truck. Thanks

If the boot is blown or torn, pointing downward, it will sound like it is under the truck... . I had one on a '98 last month, sounded like the turbo was spooling up on the driver side!! :-laf
