Anyone know of a vendor or supplier other than the stealer. They charge $12 quart, and this is what is called for in the 01 trannys.

Thanks in advance:confused:

+4

I have bought it from either Auto Zone or Advance Auto . I can't remember which. It was branded as Aamco and made by Exxon as I recall. I will check those stores this weekend to see if they still have it. I think I prefer the 7196 with Lubegard.

The +4 did seem to give too much slip.

try the synthetic.......you'll like it!

I went to Amsoil ATF+4 synthetic and bought it from Off Road Warehouse. With the extended service interval I can avoid the mess of more frequent changes.

buy Mercon V, get it any most oil companies. Use Lube guard with the ahoba bean oil, and TransGO advises paople that really want their transmission to last to use 6 quarts of MOBIL 1 motor oil

mine did just fine with dexronIII and thats what i'll be using when it goes back together , over 60k miles on the stock internals and way to much horsepower :D

Murrays

At least around here ( SE lower Michigan) Murrays auto ( like Autozone) carries MOPAR ATF +4 Trans fluid. CHecked the bottle and there was no price tag but it was SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than $12 a quart.

I am however moving to synthetics in another 1000 miles.
