Gang,

I need your help! My truck is @ our local Chrysler dealer, it dripped some ATF from the front of the transmission. Took it to the dealer to get it fixed. While I was there I mentioned that the TC clutch would not always engage like it's supposed to. We agreed to change the solenoids while the transmission was out of the truck.

Here start the problems.

They changed the solenoids,( they come complete with the wires and connector from DC). When I got the DTT valve body, I can remember that I soldered in a 200 ohm resistor to some wire.

Anyone remembers or knows into which wire that resistor needs to be soldered??

HELP!!!

No don't tell me to look at the old wiring, they've dumped 'it...

AAArrgh!

Next problem, this morning I went to get my truck. After a short test drive it was clear that the transmission wasn't working like before...

To make a loooong story short, no OD, no torque convertor clutch lock up...

Ideas???

Thanks,

Marco

Marco, the resistor can be installed at the PCM harness on pin #31.

It can also be installed at the 8 pin connector at the transmission . (pin #2) This wire supplies 5 volts to the solenoid and had orange insulation on my old 1999 Ram.

This modification is to prevent 3rd gear limp mode starts. Your no overdrive no lock-up is something else. What exactly did they remove and replace?

Good Luck. Jim A.

Thanks for your help guys!

I've searched in the archievs and found something about that resistor. If nothing else, I know now that it has nothing to do wiht the OD/lock up.

Thanks for your advice Top Fuel!

The guys in the shop still have not come up with something to get the transmission work. Life is strange, I bring them my truck because it drips some oil from the transmission, and get it back with a no longer working transmission... ... .

I'll know more on monday. I'll keep you updated.

Have a nice weekend!

Thanks,

Marco

Marco...

The problem is most likely the lack of #2 being pumped into the engine!!! LOL

Call Bill K's shop (I know it's international and all), Vinnie should be there and he can help you out.
