Hi All,
I just had my '02 automatic transmission rebuilt.
After about 500 miles of break in I tried from a dead stop to put the pedal to the floor and feel the shift points. It shifted great until overdrive at which point the rpms
were 3500 and it still wouldn't shift. I back off the pedal about a 1/2 in. of travel and it shifted fine.
I took it back and had the guy adjust the linkage until it will shift into overdrive at 3000 rpms during the
same test.
I realize adjusting 1 end of the linkage affects the other end of the linkage. Now the low end shifts awfully
short and fast. Doesn't feel right.
Could someone tell me if which one of the scenarios is correct?
Let me know if you want more info.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
