OK I installed . 093 fuel lines from the injector pump. The problem is I have been told that on the auto's the injector pump response time is to slow and the truck dies when shifting into forward or reverse. Ok I have been playing with the TPS. The factory setting was . 572 VDC and I ended up cranking it up to. 672 VDC. (maximum) This has helped a little and I am not setting any codes. My question is do I need to put the stock lines back on or has anyone figured out a fix? Thanks for any info.

Not sure if it relates but mine would kill going into gear and it turned out to be a bad injection pump. Replaced and all is well.

I remember talkin' to Don Rammer 'bout the . 093 effecting injector pop~Off points. This juust may be part of the equasion with the auto's (Especialy with a tighter converter) I was thinking that the Rpm drop is so sudden that there could be an issue with the fueling timing like you stated before. Granted Hydrolic action is just that. However with larger lines that tends to create a resevor for fuel which may delay pop off when the vp44 is advancing fuel when going from nutral to drive or park to reverse.

She prolly runs fine if you were rolling then put her in gear right?

Yes a rolling start helps lol. It has improved from dying 50% of the time to 25% at shift. It seems to do it cold one day and hot the next. I can live with it, just wondering if anyone had a remedy. Truck runs fantastic once I get her rolling.

I had the same stalling problem with fuel treatments, ie... Amalgamated and such. I went to the dealer and they installed a cold weather update to the ECM so the truck was able to run on #1 Diesel, They explained that, when shifting from park or neutral into gear the program would instantly pulse the fuel pump for a second giving the engine that extra needed fuel to prevent stalling. Hope that helped... .

Injector Lines

I've never heard of anyone getting these oversized injector lines. What would be the benefit and did you have them custom-made or did you order them from a vendor?

unless you have mega injectors--and I mean mega the larger fuel lines I don't think are going to gain you anything---with a tight convertor and large injectors your truck will die just like it's doing--call Bill K and see what he says to verify--I agree with the ToolMan that your stalling may be that the lines are to large for your injectors and it's screwing up the pop off pressures--especially if it didn't stall before---

for larger lines

I got them from Haisley Machine by accident. They work good with the manual transmissions and older autos with old style ECMs. Bill K helped me with the voltage setting on the TPS. Another vendor Scheid Diesel said they couldnt get around the stalling on the automatics, injector pump response time. I am supposed to be getting 20 -25 horsepower with the bigger lines and I really dont want to switch back to stock. I always heard if there is a will there is a wayOo.
