Autometer 50lb Boost gauges - Input? Likes? Dislikes? Happy with it?

<font color=blue>I am just curious to those of you who have these gauges, are you happy with it? Was it worth the price? Was it worth the wait? Any dislikes about it?

Please any and all comments on the gauges are welcome (positive or negative).

Since I had a hand in it I am just curious to what y'all think about them.

I wasn't in on the original order but bought one of the extras from JRE. Just completed installiation and it looks sharp!! The silver face almost matches my interior color, can't wait until dark so I can see what they look at night. There's only one problem, on the test drive the boost would only go to 22psi!!!! It looks like the ol credit card is going to be in for a workout.

Will be installing them tomorrow since I machined the intake manifold for the boost fitting today.

Once I got it to fit ,Great !! Already got 38 psi with PE in level 3. Would not have seen that with the old guage!

You've seen mine in person, Kat, at the Scheid rally... I'm happy with it, AutoMeter quality is indisputable... IT IS NICE TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO SEE MY BOOST GAUGE AT NIGHT !
The silver bezel doesn't match my interior though, but it doesn't look bad or "mismatched", either... I would have preferred having the option of black face/black bezel (Sport Comp). But it's a minor point. I've bought them, installed them, they're in my truck to stay !

Thanks for the reminder. I still have'nt seen mine. I ordered right away, but I wanted the black face to match my motif. Maybe that's the hold-up, but I thought I would have gotten it by now. Has anyone else received a black one?

I'm gonna have to wait until next week to install them. The liars at DC parts said that they had 2 cans of the agate interior paint on the shelf. When I went to pick it up it was the tan paint. I had to order it and will be next week before it gets there.

The 50 psi gauge is a little larger in diameter than the EGT gauge and I had to trim the hole in the dual pillar mount with a deburring tool just a few thousanths when I checked the fit. <font size=-2>

Truck already had it on when I bought it (purchased from another TDR member) and it works great, looks great (after replacing bulbs). Of course have not been able to use it to its full potential, but those days are cummins.
