Actually, I had to use a screwdriver to bend the metal straight from the front cap that hold the glass over the bezel. It took a while...

Its funny how that sensor responds to different positions that it's placed in. When i first hooked mine up It would work right when the alt. had a load on it ether rev it up or turn on the lights. Otherwise it wouldnt give a correct idel reading. Then one day when moving a 86 ford 150 4x4 I noticed as soon as i got into it it had a Autometer diesel tach. Ok whats up with this truck i was thinkin. I knew real quik as i started it up . Cummins repowered that was cool enough but what was better is that his tach worked great. So I looked at the alt. to see were he put the sensor. I rotated mine around to were he had his and bam done deal. Ive never had a problem since.

Mine's in and working good now. This morning it was 45* outside, and my tach didn't work right until the cab warmed up...

I e-mailed autometer about it... that's rediculouse.

This is what the autometer rep said:

"... I honestly do not know why the cold would affect it. We have not heard of this being a common problem... "

Well, I put the sensor where CB did,and it seemed to work ok. After a while it acted strange, and wouldn't go below 1500. I tried seperating the wiring,as i had it running along the pyro wiring. That seemed to help, but it still acts goofy once in a while. I think it has to do with the temp, because after a while it snaps out of it. Now to get the bulb color changed... . :( Gonna leave the tach alone for a while 'cause now the speedo quit working. :{ I guess it's time for another $ensor... .

CB... . my Issspro tach was giving me fits a couple of months ago when we had really cold weather here... . it would always work, but one day I be at my normal 2000 at 70 mph, the next day 2500 at 70.

I contacted Isspro..... they said send it in and they'd check it out...

But it has been perfect since then, so I never sent it.
