Can anyone running the isolator from autometer tell me the best place they found to mount it. The hose from the gauge doesn't get into the engine compartment very far and I haven't been very happy with my options I came up with so far. Thanks... Andrew

I rigged mine to mount on one of the cables on the drivers side. I couldn't really find a good spot to mount it level other than that. Hope this helps.

Eric

Eric,

Thanks for the reply. I started to fabricate a bracket last night that will bolt off of the master cylinder bolts. The only thing is that it is lower than the height of the gauge in the truck. I don't know if it will throw off the accuracy with it being mounted at a lower height or not. I guess I'll know soon enough. I have a gauge mounted under the hood to use as a reference... . Andrew

I mounted mine on the triangle piece of the firewall near the top of the firewall, driverside it is the highest clear spot i could find to mount it works great there. Also u may also need a needle valve inline with the fuel suppy so u dont get a vibration

Kevin

Kevin,

I like the needle valve idea as well. I am having trouble locating one that is either pipe threads on both ends or An fittings. I've tried all the local hardware stores as well as the home improvement stores with no luck. All of them I have found have compression fittings on at least one side and won't work for me. Thanks again... Andrew

7psi Summit pressure sensor for L/P

I've got a pressure sensor with an idiot light to monitor my L/P on my '99. Seems to work great and only have about $12 in everything.

What series of autometer fuel pressuer gauge do you guys have? I have ultralite series gauges and have not been able to find a matching fuel pressure gauge. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.

Mike

Mike, I have an auto & truck accessory business so I ordered it from one of my suppliers that sells autometer. All the mail order companies have it as well. Mine has the isolator and is a 2" gauge. The part number is 4313. They have one without the isolator also if you don't mind running fuel into your cab, that is 4311. Hope this helps... Andrew
