I was just reading on their site that they "can't advise/reccomend using either an electric or isolated fuel press gauge due to incompatibility problems". They did recommend a mechanical gauge mounted outside. I was planning to install their electric model on the steering column when I got back to the U. S. Has anyone had a gauge problem?

I've got the autometer autolite electric and I am extremely happy with the gauge. It is accurate and has been problem free from the first day. If it is installed properly (proper snubbing, sender located off of the engine, etc. ) I think that you would be pleased as well.

I think their statement is to cover their butts. Early electric guages had some sender failures and I think they got tired of dealing with it. I've had my guage in for ~40K, and it came with the revised sender. Absolutely no problems. I have the guage mounted in the steering column mount, and other than the poor night lighting compared to my Di Pricol's I like the guage.
