Need air compressor to power 5" remote mount pacbrake

Has anybody had any problems with autometer gauges ? I'm thinking that my pyro gauge has gone south. :eek: We cheched the power to the gauge and all the connections and the gauge still doesnt want to read. If you tap on the gauge it will jump every now an then. Any other ideas ? :confused:

There are two types of autometer probes a competition probe and the normal probe the competition probes hold up really well. I have had issues with the regular ones a few years back but autometer will warrenty them most of the time. The competion probe is like 90-100 bucks by itself, plus the cost of the guage.

I hope that hleps some.

I have the autometer ultra lite and im having the same problem. I emailed autometer. They responded within 24 hours and stated to send it in with a copy of the email.

Had my Autometer Ultra-Lite pyro for two years now with no problems. I have had two pyros for over a year now and thats how I know they are both working properly.

Funny you say this, Mine the phantom series, the needle wil flutter every now and then. Cant seem to find any issues that cause it. A friends Ultra Lite reacts super slow. How do I tell if its the thermocoupler or the guage itself?

I am glad I found this post, since my Ultralite is doing the same thing. It will straighten out if you tap on it, so I figured it was just a loose wire on the back.

There IS a problem with the newer autometer pyrometers. Autometer is aware of this. I heard that autometer is using a new manufacturer for their gauges, and the return has been extremely high. Chances are if you get a new thermocouple with the "fatter" point on the end, it will not work properly. :-{}

I am running an Ultralite with competition probe pre turbo and standard post turbo and they have never skipped a beat in over 5 years. My only gripe is the orange needle is starting to fade.

well i finally sent the guage in and it took about 1. 5 weeks for a return. They sent me a whole new setup. Guess ill have something to do this weekend
