For you guys running an autometer pyro is your pyro's needle movement smooth (swiss type movement) or choppy (quartz movement)? I just installed a new pyro and the movement seems to be the quartz type movement in 25* increments. Just wondering if I had a problem, egt #'s seem correct.

Chipstien........

I got lucky and my vendor got me a advanced replacement for the one I had that fogged. Now you have to send the whole gauge to Autometer to get it fixed. If you know someone with an old Pyro you can borrow send yours in and they'll fix it.

BWB, I am fortunate enough that the condensation is miniscule..... you can barely see it and it is only noticeably for the first 10 min after turning on the lights. It is not worth taking the guage out. Others are much worse than me. :)

Doug,, sounds like your gauge may be sticking. Gauge movement like that happens sometimes after a White Face Dash has been installed and the gauge pointers are pushed too far down.

Maybe the gauge pointer got pushed down to far at the factory???

Mine is smooth as (Favorite smooth object here)

So,, are you going to tell us how high that EGT gauge goes now?

I spoke with the vendor where the gauge came from and they are sending a replacement. Vendor stated the same as all of you that the movement should be smooth.

As for the EGT limit... ... It only goes to 1600* Guess I need more air. :D

Hey, before I got more air, It only went to 1600*,, That was with a Stock HX-35/12 and a BHAF Air filter, Now with a PDR 40/18 and an AFE Mega-Cannon, it still only goes to 1600*.

Did I forget to mention my gauge doesn't have any numbers indicating temps over 1600*? I must have been operating close to 0* with my '35, now I'm closer to 1550* :D:D
