Well, let me tell you how happy I am that I get to rip down my gauge pillar, take out all my pyro wiring, and uninstall my failed pyro
:{
Thus far, Autometer has given great customer service. I called them when it first started acting up, and they send me a new thermocouple as fast as I could ask for it. Unfortunately, the new probe did NOTHING-- so the guage itself must be bad.
So AM told me to take out the gauge and send it back to them, along with a note explaining what I wanted (new guage of the same kind, different kind, etc. ).
So, now I have some options:
1) Should a get the same guage again? (I don't want to, because I hate the halo lighting)
2) Should I stick with 0-1600º, or should I go with 0-2000º??
3)Should I say "screw autometer" and go with another brand?
(completely out of pocket, which I'm not keen on).
At this point, I'm hoping to "trade in" my Ultralight gauge with one of their newer ones. Here's what I'm looking at:
This is the C2 series, with a blue, "indiglo", type illuumination:

This is the NV, my favorite-- it has a greenish indiglo style lighting:

Then there's the Cobalt series, which has a bluish lighting though the face

Gotta admit, there's something cool about a pyro that goes to 2000!!

So, what would YOU do?
