Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Autozone: Midwest Transmission nv4500??

Autozone has a reman nv4500 from Midwest Transmission Center for a reasonable price. I can't find any info about MTC here, but I did call them and they say there NV4500's have the fully splined mainshaft.



The positives of this is that I have a local store to deal with with no shipping and core return shipping cost to absorb, and I'm getting really tired of haveing to double shift third!



Does anyone know anything about these guys?

I do sometimes question the quality of parts at Auto Zone, and I am often disappointed with the customer service and the level of expertise of the countermen, I have never had a problem with their warranty on anything. They are almost the Wal-Mart of auto parts. If you take it back, they will almost always give you another one with no questions asked.

I have only bought a few big ticket items from them, but I have had no problems. I bought two engines and one transmission. They have all worked out flawlessly.
