93 D250-Had a shudder so bad that tailpipe struck corner of aux tank. Fixed the shudder TSP and idle too slow. Now the Aux tank will not fill seems like it's plugged. I blew the air relief and filled the tank Ok once then it started all over again. I am going to call Transfer Flow Co in Chico CA it's their tank about 9 - 10 years since installation by previous owner. The fuel that's in the tank can be used and the switch "Aux-Main" works ok. any experience? Suggestions?Oo.

I have a problem on my front tank like that. I put in an AERO replacement tank. The aux (the good stuff T. F. ) tank actually pumps to the vent line. The vent line has a "loop seal" in the way it was routed(AERO design). A "loop seal" is like a sink trap. Liquid can drop but gas would have to push the liquid up. If it has to push it high enough the pressure will look like a clogged filler neck. Go under and make sure that the vent line is a nice an even slope up to the filler neck. The shudder could have broken some tie wraps or moved the line. If there are any droops straighten them out. And of course if it is kinked there is your problem. OBTW I "fixed" my problem with another vent point on the AERO tank. The 38 gallon transfer flow has worked flawlessly once I got it properly installed.
