Aux Fuel Tank

I'm thinking of fabricating an auxillary fuel tank to go where the spare tire is now located.



I would plan on just using the existing lift pump with a selector value (like a Ford valve ) to select each tank and fuel sender.



I would like to hear form other TDR members who have done this. I'd be particularly interested in a discussion on any problems with this type of installation; any problems with using the factory lift pump; or adding an inline fuel filter. Also, where did you put the filler neck?

If it helps, I'm going to have a dual fillneck setup from Transfer flow for sale in about a month. I've got an aft axle tank from them, and when my flatbed body goes on I need to use different fillnecks. . So I won't need the dual fillneck kit any more. I don't think you can buy this from them directly (they won't sell it unless you have one of their tanks).
