Ramboy, don't blame. Thats what I am looking for. Thought of the 60 gallon combo from northern tool but it would stick above the bed rail about 1. 5 inches. I either want it flush or above and over the bed rails like a normal job box.  Decisions, decisions.

DOT is very adament about how you hook up an aux tank. I went to the local parts store and found a relay valve that switches tanks, returns and sending units with one switch. About 89 bucks.

Re: American tank

Sounds like the installer deserved to go out of business... #@$%!

Does the low fuel light come on while ign. is on with 35 gal left in the aux tank???? If so it is just an adjustment of the float. It is either an extendable ( set screw on a collar ) or a "U" bend it ( like a toliet ball ). If it sets the low fuel while ign is off he got the wrong wires #@$%! BIG TIME :(

You should be able to swith tanks on the fly with out a hic up. .

I have a 95 gallon from American Tank. I don't care for the controls; but it was probably the installer, and the sucker went out of business. It works off the factory pump and gauge. Just flip a switch; after you stop and turn the ignition off:mad: and the low fuel light comes on with 35 gallons remaining, so I carry a "clean" stick, and you know-------

American Tank

Shooter:

Yes, it is with the ign on; also it will not switch from one tank to the other; except to turn the ing off and switch, then it will:mad:

It is a pain sometimes; but usually there is no big deal; however, I paid for it to be automatic and, and, and:mad:

Ref: little red cap

The red cap on the stock fuel tank was covered here, I think in the engine and drivetrain section. Was prior to X-mas, as best as I can recall.
