In answer to Shelby, I have found that even driving around my home State (Oregon) that I can pay for the tank in one year with fuel price savings ($. 20 to $. 40 per gallon). When driving through mutiple states while on a trip pulling our RV we can skip several states if we do not care for the posted prices. We paid for our 67 gal Transfer Flow in one trip across the US in 96' with the fuel cost per gal savings. To my way of thinking this is the true value of having an Aux fuel tank.
As for hauling the extra 700 lbs around, that is not even relevent in the Cummins equipped Dodge Ram. I dare say that those of you that have a tool box installed have that much weight in equipment and tools laying in the bottom of the box that haven't been used since they were put in the box.
Additionally, I have never noticed a difference in the fuel mileage I achieve with or without fuel in the Aux tank.
Wouldn't be without the Aux fuel tank.
