AUX FUEL TANKS

Are there any auxillary fuel tanks available for 98. 5 quad cab short bed trucks? Most of the manufacters I have checked with say no.

Looks like us Shortbedders are kinda dead in the aux tank department. The only one I found was a 40 gal replacement for the stock tank. I think it was around 900 bucks. Way too much to pay for only 6 extra gallons. I hope someone knows of something better.

Check out campingworld.com, they have some aux tank/tool box combos. They are made by handy industries and they are called "fuel and tool. " Supposed to fit short beds because they have an angled bottom.

Check out the product review page form the TDR homepage. Here is the website for American Tank. They have a couple of options for shortbeds. They all go in the bed though. I had them send me a catalog. Looks very good. I just wish there was one that didn't go in the bed.

Yea, hate to lose the bed space.

I was looking under the truck today, and the shortbed doesn't leave much room for a tank.

A longbed is the way to go.

I just purchased an auxillary tank, custom made to fit my bed from Aero Tank in Corona Ca. I must say I have never delt with a such a poor company in my life. They quoted me a price for the complete tank and installation system including shipping and must be paid in full befor shipping. Well first the tank came and the shipping was c. o. d. second there was no installation kit. I am still waiting for the kit and they will not refund my shipping cost. Plus the manager will not even speak to me or return my call. I am living in my driveway in my trailer waiting for the kit and then I will be able to begin my fulltime rv adventure
