Aux lights hooked to dimmer sw

On the 97 the bright lights also turned on the aux lights. I would like to do that also on the 2001. The mech hot wired them thru a swithch actuated from the inside of the cab which works but is pretty unhandy to turn off and dim when you have your brights on and meet a rig.
