Auxiliary Fuel Tank Install

Has anyone installed the gravity feed kit in a 2013 Ram 3500 with Aisin transmission? The oem tank fill is metal (not hose). The kit I purchased from RDS is for rubber hose.

On my 2011 the fill tube was metal. I welded a bung to it that I screwed the RDS 90* fitting into.

Look closely at the fill nozzle, it should have a shoert section of hose connecting the tank nozzle to the fill pipe. I always thought this was to prevent vibration/movement of the tank from breaking something off. Maybe not on the newer ones? bg

x2 on the metal on my 2011. I cut the neck with a cut off wheel on a small grinder and installed the RDS kit. It is close quarters up under there, but with some patience it can be done. I was able to mount the check valve only a very small bit from vertical and it works fine; but it needs to be as vertical as possible. Seems to work great!
