Auxiliary Fuel Tank-

I have a 2004 Dodge cummins 3500 Diesel truck and want to replace the original 35 gal tank with a 55 to 60 gal fuel tank. I have checked with 2 companies so far, Transfer Flow in Chico Ca. and Aero Tank in So. Calif. . Transfer Flow is making a tank but only for 4 WD trucks, and Aero Tank has not yet received approval from the Air Resources Board for their tank. Does anyone know of any other companies who build and install auxiliary fuel tanks. I am willing to drive to any south west state. Thanks in advance.

Check out www.supertanks.com they look to tbe best as they are made just like the factory ones, they emailed me they would have one soon for the 3rd gen Dodges.

Hello Bertram65,

Thanks for the quick response. I called Supertanks and learned the following:

1. Tanks are "almost ready" to ship for the 04 Dodge Trucks. Landry will call be back on Wed. to update the avalibility. Instalation hardware seems to be the issue.

2. Landry was going to check on their tanks meeting the Calif. CARB specifications.

Thanks again for the reference as I was getting really frustrated waiting for Aero Tanks to get their tanks CARB approved. Its been about 2 months waiting.

Dick

3. The Dodge tank will be 60 gal.

Ah yes, the eco-nazis better known as CARB. I go to Nevada just to buy gas cans with out those stupid nozzles. You've got the right idea going out of state to get one.

Check KCH Marine Lake Havasue AZ (spelling questionable). They have in bed tanks and appear to pried very competitively and has DOT approval. The 60 gallon underbed tanks Aero has requires the frame to be drilled and that is not good. Transfer Flow is to expensive for me.
